I would love to play and sing each track for you live, where afterward I’d provide commentary about how each one was created. I would love to have you listen to it with a certain type of speaker or with a special pair of headphones, at a certain time of day, with a certain flavor of incense burning while you consume the adult beverage of your choice or light a joint...What I CAN do is, make sure what you get in your inbox or mailbox containing said music is as badass as possible.

I’ve been writing this album on and off for 15 years. I realized 2 months ago the reason it took so long. I had to be the person I am right now in these moments to get this project completed.
I started writing poetry at around 10 years old because it was one of my only outlets to express myself. Music has been a part of my life since an early age. My grandfather was an avid Jazz music lover, who loved trumpeters. I was raised on the horns of Dizzy Gillepsie, Louis Armstrong, and his favorite Miles Davis. I fell in love with other styles of music that spoke to me of funk, hip-hop and R & B. Between the world premieres every Fri & Sat night to the red light parties held in those days. We were put to bed, with music wafting through the air and if we were quiet enough, we could watch the adults dance and drink with wild abandon to music that had us tapping ourselves into our dreams.
Music has provided me with a soundtrack to my life. I started out lip syncing because I didn’t think I was good enough to really sing like my idols Whitney, Janet and Madonna.
I recently rekindled this project after a 5 year hiatus. I remembered my love of writing lyrics, expressing myself through song and I’m proud of what I’ve created.
The EP was written by me and I found beats that best matched my lyrics or the original melodies in my head. I am releasing this EP and subsequent full length album independently. This means no label. So all the front of the house and behind the scenes is on me to coordinate and it’s my job (and yours if you’re willing) to get the word out. I’ve already invested in logo art, recording, beats.
